Recipe steps

Recipe steps

1-Mix lemon juice, food color (if using), and 2 tablespoons of oil or butter.
2-Apply the mixture to chicken pieces and prick with a fork all over to absorb the marinade. Let it sit for 30 minutes.
3-Apply strained yogurt over the chicken and marinate for an additional 3 hours or more in the refrigerator.
4-Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Arrange the chicken pieces on a baking tray, discarding the excess marinade.
5-Bake for 25 minutes, then brush with the remaining oil or butter.
6-Place under the grill on high heat for a few minutes until the chicken is lightly browned, or barbecue over open flame until cooked through and charred lightly.
